Dubai Past Present, which puts art education in the limelight, heads to the striking Central Park Towers in the Dubai International Financial Centre for a two-month showcase coinciding with the city’s sixth Dubai Art Season.

The exhibition on P2 level features a total of 40 art pieces inspired by Dubai’s traditional past and modern present, brought to life by children aged 10-13 from nine public and private schools in Dubai and 13 homegrown and expatriate professional artists.

“Central Park Towers, with its contemporary urban feel and commanding position in DIFC is the perfect place to come and see the successful Dubai Past Present exhibition, with its deep mix of pieces from computer aided designs and paintings to sculptures and installations. We strongly feel that by showcasing the work of these young students and artists, we help in nurturing and encouraging budding talent in our community.” said Susan Mikloska, Director of Marketing at Central Park Towers.

Dubai Past Present has been made possible thanks to a ground-breaking partnership between Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority to highlight the extensive benefits of art education in schools, and to ultimately develop an art curriculum inclusive of content, teaching and learning techniques that can develop the skills children need to become future leaders.
